Sharing stories and inspiration to encourage and motivate

I’m NOT your typical beauty blogger.

I’m not your typical makeup artist either.  You won’t find tutorials on how to cake your face with makeup.  I’m more about simple looks and easy hair styles.  If you stick around you’ll find beautiful women doing beautiful things, that I hope encourages and uplift you.  The beauty world can be VERY superficial, and harsh on our self worth.  True beauty is so much deeper.  I love featuring inspirational women and sharing their stories in hopes their journies motivate and encourage you.   Comparison can be a total kill joy.  My hope is that you’ll read these stories and see your beauty in them too.   YOU are uniquely beautiful.  No one is made like you, and no one can do what you can do the same as you.

They Will Know Us By Our Love

Survival Guide to School Shut-Down Part 3

Just think if your child’s teacher had the ability to work one on one with your child they wouldn’t waste time or energy going over things they already know. In class they have to go the pace of the majority of the kids. They try to help the ones struggling and they try to challenge the advanced, but they can’t devote all their time to either. While they’re home we get to do that! It’s exciting (not easy).

It's going to be okay! You've got this Mama! When I was homeschooling full-time I had so many families reach out to me about how to get started.  I'm no expert, but what experience I do have I hope helps ease some of the stress.   If you follow me on Instagram you...

To the Mom Who’s Struggling with Depression

To the mom who’s struggling with depression, I see you. To the mom who struggles to get up in the morning, I see you.  To the mom who pushes through to get just one thing done, I see you. To the mom who feels the weight of EVERYTHING and isn’t even sure how she’s...

You are not one dimensional, and your makeup shouldn’t be either. It should be intuitive and personalized. You are unique and your face is an amazing combination of glowing highlight and chiseled shadow. Putting a wash of one foundation color all over your face is diminishing those amazing angles and creating a “flat face” that just isn’t the natural you. Our IIID Foundation makes it easy to customize a palette tailored to your skin tones. Eliminating the need for layers upon layers of makeup, our 4 step process makes it a light but full coverage that blends together creating a glowing complexion in just minutes.

This color should be lighter than your natural skin tone. The yellow turns creamy on the skin and gives you a “lit from within” glow! With the small end of the HAC brush apply this shade to the bridge of the nose, beneath your eyes and down the side of the nose in a pie piece shape, between your brows, on the chin and along the jawline.

This color should be deeper than your natural skin tone. It creates and accentuates the “shadows” on your face, giving dimension and a gorgeous sculpt to your face! Using the large end of the HAC brush apply the contour color round the edges of your face, down the neck, the side of your nose and beneath your cheekbones.

This rosy tone brings out your eyes, makes the face appear more youthful and warms your complexion. Apply this with a brush, sponge or fingertip to the apples of your cheeks and to the center of your lips.

Finish everything with this gorgeous shimmery cream! It gives the face a candlelit dewiness and perfects your complexion. Apply with fingertip to the top of your cheekbones, the bow of your lip and beneath the arch of your brow.
